We have recently published an article in collaboration with researchers at the Globe Institute Copenhagen exploring the formation of G-quadruplex structures from single nucleotide monomers. Through repeated heating and cooling cycles we see extended filamentous G4 structures self-assemble, which could give hints as to the conditions that were required to form life in prebiotic environments.
